The Depot
We keep all the donated goods in a small store room in a building on a Bicester commercial park. It's actually the room through the door at the back of the picture, right opposite the entrance, which makes loading and unloading as simple as possible.
Thanks to a generous grant from Oxfordshire Community Support Fund we have been able to purchase good sturdy racking and storage boxes. Food received is stored in appropriate boxes after being date-checked, so we can always find what we need.
These boxes are also used to transport goods from the depot to the distribution centres in Woodstock and Kidlington.
We also have a desk for working on, including record-keeping so we always know exactly what's in stock.
And just enough space for some chairs to sit on for an occasional rest.
